This week’s feature takes us to probably one of the most experienced pet photographers in the country. Richie Schwartz and his Pets Photography Studio has photographed over 60,000 pets!  Sure it’s been over a 30 year time frame, but no matter how you look at it, that is still a lot of dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, and even pigs (really?).

Richie and his staff travel throughout New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania to 75 pet related businesses and is also the exclusive photographer for 30 Pets Supplies “Plus” stores.

Pets Photography Studio is one of the largest pet photography companies in the country. From 2006-2010, owner Richie Schwartz and his staff has been the  exclusive photographers at more than 75 locations for the second-largest pet supply chain in the country. He has now taken on the same role for Pet Supplies “Plus,” a leading supplier with more than 230 stores in 22 states.

Schwartz also photographs pets at many independent pet businesses and at his busy pet photography studio in West Hempstead, NY. He also provides in-home photo sessions or outdoor location shoots. Richie has embraced social media and not only has the obligatory Facebook page, which is a given, but Richie utilizes YouTube, check out his latest documentary video, it might just make you call your pet photographer for a session.

In addition, he regularly volunteers his services to raise funds for rescue shelters and was just accepted as member of HeART Speak.
